The main purpose of the Shari'ah is to realise and secure the general good or the interests of people by promoting their welfare as individuals and as a collective body and keeping harm and injury away from them. This it seeks to do, in order of priority, by: 1. guaranteeing their 'vital needs' 2. catering for their 'requirements' or exigencies 3. allowing for 'betterment', enhancement or improvements in the quality of their life. 

For centuries this Ummah displayed an unprecedented love and devotion for the Book of Allah which became the immediate cause of its miraculous preservation. Our goal again must be to live by the Qur'an, for only then we truly live. Otherwise we only pretend to live.

Islam sees disability as “morally neutral”. It is seen neither as a blessing nor a curse. Clearly disability is therefore accepted as being an inevitable part of the human condition. It is simply a fact of life which has to be addressed appropriately by the society of the day.

The personality of Jesus, Son of Mary [a], plays a central role in Islam. Both Muslims and Christians can learn a lot from Christmas, which unfortunately has become an annual celebration of the victory of paganism over the religion of Jesus. Muslims do indeed celebrate Christmas, but in their own way by recounting his blessed story, with all it's numerous lessons, and jealously guarding the noble memory of Jesus, the true Messiah.
